Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are essential to our mission. We invite individuals, corporations, and community groups to help us build affordable homes in our community. No experience necessary!

Every one deserves a decent place to live. Northwoods Habitat for Humanity was established in 1990. We are an ecumenical, Christian ministry determined to end poverty housing in our community.

 

Since 1990, 64 homes have been sold to families who needed nothing  more than a hand-up to break the bonds of poverty.

A home buyer story

Watch this​ episode of Common Ground PBS about a past home buyer. Amber Hynes put in the “sweat equity hours”and helped construct her new home through Northwoods Habitat for Humanity. She shares her journey volunteering at ReStore, helping with construction, the zero interest loan application, and the rest of the process that put her into her safe, affordable house.
